Summer Tours: Dave Matthews & Beach Boys Announced

Music fans are expecting some hot summer tours from legendary performers like the Dave Matthews Band and 60’s pop icons the Beach Boys.

Matthews and his group, who last year headlined their own “Caravan” festivals in select U.S. cities, take their act on the road this year, playing over 40 dates nationwide throughout the spring and summer of 2012.

Opening acts for the Dave Matthews Band this go-round will include blues artist Gary Clarke, Jr., folk rockers the Avett Brothers, and legendary R & B band Tower of Power.

Also returning to the stage this summer are the three surviving members of the original Beach Boys. The Beach Boys will perform together for the first time in over twenty years as the group celebrates their 50th anniversary with a tour making stops across both the United States and Europe.

Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw, two of country’s biggest music stars are heading out on their 2012 Brothers of the Sun Tour.   The pair have charted a combined 41 No. 1 hit singles and many awards throughout their careers.  The tour will begin in Tampa in June and then Atlanta before spreading across the USA and then heading back to the east coast the end of August.  The only west coast date yet set is Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Ca.

Madonna & Lady Gaga Going On Tour

Madonna and Lady Gaga Both Madonna & Lady Gaga are going on tour in 2012. You saw Madonna at her Super Bowl Halftime Show performing “Vogue,” “Music,” and “Give Me All Your Luvin’,” and now she begins her tour in June in Berlin and then Paris before heading to the USA with performances in Philadelphia, PA in August then briefly in Canada before heading to Boston in September.  According to Billboard.com, Madonna’s tour is expected to have upwards of 90 dates, making it the longest tour of her storied career.

Lady Gaga has not set dates yet for the USA and Canada but does have scheduled dates in Hong Kong, Sydney, Australia, Melbourne and Burswood, Australia as well.  Her “Born This Way Ball” tour is expected to run until 2013.  While dates have not yet been set, rumor has it that the stage with be that of a castle theme.
